Docker Bakery Announces New Ashford Opening
Plant-Based Sourdough Specialists Set to Launch on New Street
Ashford’s thriving food scene is set for a fresh addition this October as Docker Bakery prepares to open its doors on 1st October at 25 New Street. The move sees the acclaimed Kent-based business, famous for its plant-based sourdough breads, pastries, and seasonal delights, expand from its Folkestone Harbour Arm origins to one of Kent’s most rapidly developing towns.
Established from humble beginnings, Docker Bakery has built a strong reputation for quality, flavour, and craftsmanship. Their exclusively plant-based menu, featuring sourdough, sweet and savoury pastries, and a range of seasonal treats, has garnered widespread community support, fuelling the company’s growth across Kent.
The Ashford branch aims to contribute positively to the local economy by creating new job opportunities, further reinforcing Docker’s commitment to supporting local employment. Coffee enthusiasts can look forward to specialty brews served in collaboration with Margate’s Curve Coffee Roasters, renowned for their small-batch roasting expertise.
“Opening in Ashford feels like a natural step for us,” commented Wes Burden, co-founder of Docker Bakery. “It’s a town with incredible momentum, and we’re proud to be contributing to that growth. Ashford has a buzzing food culture, and we can’t wait to share our bread and coffee with a new community.”
Residents and visitors are encouraged to follow dockerbakery on Instagram for the latest updates and announcements regarding the new opening.
