Capturing the energy of Ashford's developing cultural profile and its rich commuter tradition, High Octane is a positive, powerful artwork using strong colour and implied trajectory to animate the wall and surrounding area. The work suggests movement, light, go faster stripes and car decal graphics, as well as vintage video games where illuminated pixels move rhythmically and incessantly across a screen. It will bring a dynamic and optimistic aesthetic to a previously austere urban space, suggesting a resilience of vision to mark Ashford's first mural festival.
